My Work

My work explores relationships and the push and pull between stillness and movement. I view each painting as a unique experience in using color to convey an emotional state. My goal is to achieve a state of harmony within the composition. Within each composition exists a dialogue. The use of line is not meant to divide the picture. In contrast, the placement and use of line against an open composition is meant to exist as a necessity. Without one color, the other color does not work. The overall outcome is a finished depiction of an emotive state representative of these color juxtapositions.
